French actress á la mexicana

With her undeniable beauty and talent, actress Angelique Boyer, who currently plays the role of Margarita in the soap opera 'Muchachitas Como Tú' (Girls Like You), grows slowly but steady in the difficult entertainment business.

Many will remember Boyer from her performance in the soap opera 'Rebelde' (Rebel), which was followed by 'Bailando Por Un Sueño' (Dancing for a Dream).

"I am very happy because I am developing as an actress and also as a person, I am growing a lot," said the young woman who is originally from Jura, France.

Although she is just 20, Boyer has a long career that started 12 years ago in Televisa's Artistic Education Center for children which gave her the chance to be part of the now defunct band, Rabanitos Verdes.

"I am not the type of person who waits for destiny but rather makes it. I'm definitely young and I am aware that if I mess up it's over and that if I give it my all, maybe I will accomplish big things," she said.

Due to the fact that her last name sounds entirely foreign, Boyer always hears the question about her nationality.

"I was born in France, but I have lived in México all my life. I was two when I came here. I am a French á la Mexican."

Boyer is conscious that the business in which she is in is very competitive and complicated. "I see acting as something very important in my life, but it is not steady, therefore I plan to study interior and exterior design."

Her image displays that of a sensual and distinguished girl, but Boyer lives a normal life like any other girl.

"I like to get out of México City a lot and spend the day in a small town. I love to go out dancing; I love salsa dancing and zumba and I like to have fun with the people I work with and don't get to see often," said the young actress.

Boyer also told us that at this moment, as hard as it may be to believe, she is single though it is not because she is asking for a lot from the man who wants to take her heart.

"I'm not looking for anything in particular in a man. I look for something different in someone everyday. Rather, I try to be happy each day of my life. I have learned to be a friend of loneliness because sometimes it is the best company."

Currently, Boyer is shooting the soap opera 'Alma de Hierro' (Iron Soul) which will soon begin to air on the Univisión network.
