RBD's story comes to an end

A week ago, RBD's Web site said the band will be parting ways after four years of international success.

According to the site, the band will take on a two-year farewell tour, which will end in 2010.

Pedro Damián, founder and owner of the band, said RBD still has two albums to record and a movie, which will begin filming in 2009.

"It is said that this is the beginning of the end, but it was a decision made by all six of us... We appreciate the support, each one of us has different dreams, but what kills me the most are the fans, yet this is a decision that has already been made," said band member Dulce María.

The mother of Ricky Martin's twin boys could be one of his cousins. According to reports, she was the only woman in the family who was pregnant and she always kept a close relationship (with Ricky).

"Ricky Martin feels proud and happy to start this new chapter in his life as a dad and will stay away from the stage the rest of the year to completely dedicate himself to care for his kids," said a press release.

The children were born via a gestational surrogate.

Superstar Gloria Estefan will be honored as the 2008 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year by the The Latin Recording Academy.

Estefan was chosen for her philanthropic, professional and cultural accomplishments, and will receive the honor at a star-studded concert and tribute dinner Nov. 12 in Houston.

Singer/actor Pablo Montero received an ultimatum from his network Televisa: either he rehabilitates himself or he will lose his contract with the network.

Eva Longoria was photographed leaving her restaurant Beso with husband Tony Parker and she was showing a bulging stomach. But the couple has not confirmed the pregnancy rumor.

Michelle Salas and Luis Miguel's manager Alejandro Asensi were caught buying wedding rings at a jewelry store, which prompted a wedding rumor.

Penélope Cruz will be honored during the 18th annual Premios Gotham, reserved for artists who work on independent films in New York.
