Guadalajara's Chivas bow out of Interliga

The anger of Guadalajara coach Efraín Flores could not be hidden last Saturday.

His appearance at a post-game press conference following his team's 2-0 loss to Atlante at Santa Clara's Buck Shaw Stadium made him a target for the same question over and over again. Why was Guadalajara easily eliminated from the Superliga?

"It's a rule I don't understand. One of the organizers told me last night that Atlante needed to score four goals against us to advance, and I planned differently for this match," said Flores. "No one had told me anything, and at halftime I was told something else. I don't understand the organizers. They make their own rules."
